What it does

The working environment of a monitoring center

IPCONIQ SCADA is easy to learn and use, safe and stable in operation, and delivers software performance that meets the strict requirements of the high-end monitoring market.

With flexible Client/Server, Browser/Server and Mobile/Server architectures you can build distributed or centralized monitoring setups and publish the system over a local network, wide area network or mobile network.

Since its launch, IPCONIQ SCADA has been used in large-scale public and industrial projects such as water transmission, oilfield infrastructure, mining digitalization and central district heating systems. It is also widely used in digital manufacturing, especially in automotive and electronics/semiconductor production.

Runtime

Dozens of sites, one monitoring center

Central monitoring and command dashboard built with IPCONIQ SCADA
  • Multiple operator stations
  • Central alarms and events
  • Role-based authorization
  • Site-based permission separation

The screens are representative examples prepared to show what the platform can do; they are not images of any specific customer's live system.

Capabilities

Engineering toolset

Model-based engineering
Object-oriented graphics and data models enable a high degree of configuration reuse. Reduces engineering workload by 30–70% compared with traditional approaches.
High-performance graphics
Built entirely on GDI+ graphics technology; delivers rich visual effects without compromising runtime performance.
Flexible network architecture
Real-time data, history, alarms, events, sessions and time synchronization can be deployed as independent services. A single server supports hundreds of thousands of points per second.
Data integrity and reliability
Multi-process and multi-threaded concurrency; redundancy for real-time, historical and alarm data, fast failover and stream buffering during outages.
Built-in GIS map
GIS integrated with IPCONIQ SCADA that requires no third-party dependencies or coding. Supports map layers, logical layers, pipelines, images, text and polylines.
Smart diagnostics
A diagnostics infrastructure that automatically monitors PLC communication, the network, computers and custom logic; it quickly pinpoints faults and shortens recovery time.
Comprehensive connectivity
Encrypted communication over the public internet, LAN and VPN. Static IP and DDNS access, cloud–edge–device architectures and Client/Server, Browser/Server and Mobile/Server system modes.
Distributed data acquisition
Independent data acquisition through multiple IPCONIQ Connect instances located at different sites; maximizes analytics capacity.
Open integration interfaces
Seamless integration with MES, ERP, WMS and other enterprise systems through a rich API set including C/C++/C#/Java, WebService, HTTP, WebSocket and OPC.

Architecture

Where IPCONIQ SCADA fits in the system

Field data is collected through IPCONIQ Connect, IPCONIQ SCADA handles monitoring and control in the operations layer, and historical data flows to IPCONIQ Historian.

Deployment models

Choose the right architecture for your project

Six deployment models can be built on the same project; the choice depends on the number of sites, the number of operator stations and redundancy requirements.

Server Operator Operator Browser Browser Mobile Standby server
SingleClient–serverBrowser–serverRedundant

SINGLE
Standalone

Development and runtime on a single station

Development and runtime on a single computer for machine-side monitoring and small-scale applications.

  • One license, one station
  • Small line and machine applications
  • Lowest hardware cost

CLIENT–SERVER
Client / Server

Distributed monitoring for medium and large plants

Data services on a central server, multiple NetView clients in the field.

  • Multiple operator stations
  • Central alarms and historical data
  • Role-based authorization

BROWSER–SERVER
Browser / Server

Remote monitoring with no installation required

Publish monitoring screens to a standard browser with the WebServer module.

  • Edge and Chrome support
  • 5–100 concurrent web clients
  • Remote site and management access

REDUNDANT
Redundancy

Uninterrupted operation for critical infrastructure

Prevent data loss with dual-server hot standby, dual-device and dual-network configurations.

  • Hot-standby server pair
  • Fast automatic failover
  • Real-time + historical data redundancy

CENTRAL MONITORING
GIS

Monitoring geographically dispersed sites from one center

Bringing dozens of sites across water, gas, heating and infrastructure networks into a single monitoring center.

  • GIS-based network view
  • Secure access via DDNS and VPN
  • Site-based permission separation

DISTRIBUTED
Service-based

Distributing services across separate nodes

Real-time, historical, alarm and session services can be spread across independent servers.

  • Load balancing
  • Independent scaling
  • Capacity of hundreds of thousands of points/second
