What is a kiosk, and what do ICC kiosk systems offer?

A kiosk is a self-service terminal that combines a touch screen, an industrial computer and, where needed, modules such as a barcode reader, printer or card reader in a single rugged enclosure. Users complete their transaction themselves by touching the screen, without waiting for staff.

ICC kiosk systems are designed for each project. Details such as enclosure material, colour, logo, lock, feet or castors and drawer are defined according to your needs. The kiosk designs below can serve as a starting point for your project.

The computer inside the kiosk

The computer inside determines a kiosk's speed and service life. Depending on the project, one of the following set-ups is usually used:

Modules that can be added

Kiosks can be extended with modules such as a barcode reader, printer and RFID or card reader. Modules are planned together with the cabinet design, so cabling and service access are set up correctly from the start.

Kiosk applications

Production floor

Terminals where operators access work orders, production tracking and shift information.

Warehouse and logistics

Goods-in, goods-out and stock transactions with barcode or RFID reader kiosks.

What determines the price of a kiosk?

The price of a kiosk is not that of a single product but the sum of the selected components. The main items that determine the price are:

  • Screen size and touch technology
  • Type, processor and operating system (Windows or Android) of the computer inside
  • Enclosure material and indoor or outdoor use
  • Additional modules such as barcode reader, printer and RFID
  • Logo, colour and custom design details
  • Order quantity

Once you share your requirements, we define the enclosure and hardware together and prepare a quotation tailored to your project.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can kiosks be used outdoors?
Yes. Kiosk enclosures can be designed for indoor or outdoor use. In outdoor projects, the enclosure material and the computer inside are selected to suit open-air conditions.
Can our corporate colours and logo be applied to the kiosk?
Yes. The enclosure can be painted in your corporate colour; the logo can be applied as laser cut, LED-illuminated or digital print.
Which computer is used inside the kiosk?
Depending on the project, a Windows or Android industrial panel PC, or an industrial monitor combined with a Box PC, is used. The choice is made together with you, based on the software to be run and the operating environment.
Can a barcode reader, printer or RFID reader be added?
Yes. These modules are planned during the cabinet design and integrated into the kiosk enclosure.
Can the kiosk be moved?
The enclosure can be built with fixed feet or with swivel, lockable castors. Castors make it easy to move the kiosk to different points within a facility.
What are the price and lead time of a kiosk?
Price and lead time depend on the screen, computer, enclosure material, additional modules and quantity. Once you share your requirements, we prepare a project-specific quotation including a firm lead time.
