Industrial Controller [Next Generation PLC] – Open, Flexible and Intelligent Automation with Revolution Pi

As the brain of the production line, industrial controllers manage every process between machines, sensors and systems. The next generation of controllers replacing traditional PLCs has become open-source, modular and highly connected. One of the pioneers of that shift, Revolution Pi, is an industrial PLC platform built on the Raspberry Pi Compute Module and developed by the German manufacturer Kunbus.

Revolution Pi runs on Linux with a fully open-source architecture. That gives users freedom in programming, integration and data processing that traditional PLCs cannot offer. It can be programmed with Python, Node-RED, Codesys or platforms compatible with the classic IEC 61131-3 standards. It supports industrial communication protocols such as EtherNet/IP, Modbus TCP, Profinet and EtherCAT, bringing OT (operational technology) and IT (information technology) systems together in one place.

🎯 Features and Applications

Its modular design lets users add I/O modules, gateway units and digital or analogue expansion cards easily. The fanless design gives reliable operation from -20 °C to +55 °C. Revolution Pi turns the next-generation PLC idea into reality in smart factories, energy monitoring, process automation and IoT-based control systems.

ICC Dijital is the official distributor of the Revolution Pi family in Türkiye, bringing businesses open-source, scalable and future-ready industrial control solutions on this innovative platform.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the lead time for industrial PCs?
For models held in stock, orders confirmed before noon with payment received are usually dispatched the same working day. For orders requiring custom manufacturing or configuration, the lead time is typically 2 to 6 weeks.
What are the warranty and service terms?
All products come with a standard 24-month warranty. The warranty period can be extended on request and on-site service options are available. RMA cases are handled quickly by serial number.
Can you customise the RAM, SSD, OS and I/O?
Yes. Memory and storage options can be tailored to the project. For projects of 50 units or more we also plan the configuration before production, covering the operating system image, BIOS or UEFI settings, additional I/O cards and communication modules.
Can I get quotation and project design support?
Of course. Once you share the details of your application, we carry out a free preliminary study covering model selection, performance analysis and pricing.
What about IP protection, temperature range and 24/7 operation?
Depending on the model and series, IP65 front panel protection is available. The wide operating temperature range is typically 0°C to +50°C. All industrial PCs use a fanless design suitable for uninterrupted 24/7 operation. Exact figures are given in each product datasheet.
Can Panel PCs be operated while wearing gloves?
Yes. Models with resistive touchscreens work without any problem while wearing work gloves. Models with PCAP capacitive screens can also be used with nitrile or latex gloves.
