Edge Technology

Put AI to work in the field

Edge computing is an architecture in which data is processed and analysed close to where it is produced — at the sensor, the camera, the machine. Unlike traditional cloud computing, rather than sending everything to a central server, the critical work happens locally, in the field. For industrial automation and artificial intelligence, this is a step change.

Edge vs. Cloud: Neden Edge?

Low Latency

Edge: the data is processed on site and response time is measured in milliseconds. That is essential for a robot rejecting a defective product, or for responding to a security breach the moment it happens.
Cloud: sending data to the cloud, processing it and getting an answer back can take seconds. Far too slow for critical automation.

Data Security and Privacy

Edge: sensitive information such as footage and production data never leaves your factory network. That gives maximum security, both for data protection compliance and for protecting commercial secrets.
Cloud: sending data over the internet to third-party servers introduces security holes and privacy risk.

Works Without an Internet Connection

Edge: even if the internet connection drops, AI inspection, the security system and automation keep running on the local network inside the factory. Your production does not stop.
Cloud: an internet outage means every cloud-dependent system stops.

ICC Dijital's Edge Solutions

Edge computing needs powerful, durable hardware for the software to run on. ICC Dijital meets that need with devices built to industrial standards.

Industrial PC (IPC)

Resistant to dust, humidity and vibration, and fanless by design, our IPCs make ideal edge devices for automation and data acquisition as IoT gateways.

Edge AI Devices (NVIDIA)

Dedicated edge AI hardware optimised for artificial intelligence and machine vision, with powerful GPU/TPU processors such as the NVIDIA Jetson.

Full Integration

Our edge devices talk to your PLCs, sensors and cameras over Modbus, Profinet and RTSP, acting as the brain of the AIoT ecosystem.
