The FWA8708 is a 1U Rackmount network device powered by 8th Generation Intel® Xeon®/Core™ processors, providing high scalability and performance for firewall, VPN, UTM, load balancing, and network security applications in SMB and large enterprise environments. The FWA8708 comes in two versions: FWA8708-C supported by Intel® C246 and FWA8708-H with Intel® H310 chipset.
The FWA8708-C features four DDR4-2666 modules supporting up to 64 GB of system memory and has 6x Intel® i210 and 2x i210S Ethernet controllers with an 8 GbE Port and an Optional IBN card for up to 8 GbE memory (IBASE proprietary network interface card).
FWA8708 offers rich I/O connectivity and expansion. It provides two PCIe and Mini-PCIe slots for high-density PCIe loads and an M.2 expansion slot for interfacing with SATA 3.0 and PCIe x4 data bus for high data output. It is fault-tolerant in most network applications.
